Here's is a text search utility for text and binary files with file format support for Windows and UNIX text files, MS Write files, rich text format (RTF) and HTML. All other file types are treated as binary.

You select options for how and where the program searches. For instance, select a folder to search and choose only certain subfolders. Compressed ZIP files can also be searched.

Searches can be conducted on multiple local drives or even a network.
