| SOCKS2HTTP is an agent that converts SOCKS v.5 requests to HTTP requests, tunneling them through HTTP proxy.
SOCKS allows programs to traverse firewalls on any port number.
Used by many popular programs: Napster, MSN Messanger, CRT(telnet client) and many others. Many companies restrict firewall traversals to to only HTTP requests, disabling SOCKS proxy.
SOCKS2HTTP provides a lightweight SOCKS
server for the SOCKS client, performing its connection through an HTTP proxy.
