SpreadMsg Lite is the free version of Compuquest, Inc's award- winning SpreadMsg software. It provides automated and unattended data scanning, filtering, extraction and parsing; remote application control; and rule-based message delivery to alpha pagers, digital cellular and GSM phones and PDAs. The Lite version features an e-mail scanning agent that searches the user's email waiting at their ISP, or from any POP3 or IMAP server.
Also provided is a sampling of other SpreadMsg software features available in the two for-pay upgrade versions of the software. Powerful remote control features allow the user to control and change the configuration of SpreadMsg via e-mail. External applications can be started or stopped, batch or script files run, active messaging templates within SpreadMsg turned on and off -- all with the protection of password authorized access.
