The program features fax capabilities, a tic-tac-toe game, a CD player and a handy personal information manager. There is a password protection option called WordLock that prevents prying eyes from viewing documents. There is also and a Bookmark Keeper to manage URLs for bibliographic reference.

Templates are included to make business cards, disk labels, CD labels and booklets. Other features include a Quick Command Line and Quick Run, both of which make Word more functional.
